Transit Readings

Solar System Map for Astrology Transit Readings

What are Transits?

Transits refer to the ongoing movement of planets in real time and how those positions interact with the fixed placements in your natal chart. When a transiting planet forms an angular relationship, such as a conjunction, square, or trine, to a planet or point in your birth chart, it may reflect a shift in internal experience or outer circumstances. These calculations use astronomical data and are mapped with precision.

How Transit Readings are Useful

Transit readings can be helpful when life feels uncertain or in motion. Through the lens of psychological astrology, these readings are not about predicting outcomes; they instead offer a thoughtful frame for understanding your current place in time. They are especially helpful when:

✑ You are moving through a career shift, relationship transition, or relocation

✑ You feel a strong emotional undercurrent but aren't sure why

✑ A decision feels difficult to make or carry through

✑ You are trying to understand what this time in your life is about

✑ You want perspective on the past, present, or near future

Transit Reading Session Details

All transit readings are 1 hour long and held over Zoom. We begin with a check-in on what has unfolded since our last session, and talk through what is currently happening in your life that brought you to this reading. This conversation usually lasts between 10 and 30 minutes.

The rest of the session is spent analyzing your past, current, and upcoming transits. I will look at major outer planet transits to your natal chart, shorter-term inner planet activity, and any transits affecting your progressed chart or current solar return. The session is shaped by your questions and where you are in your life right now.

My Transit Philosophy

Transits are one of astrology’s most discussed tools, but I approach them with care and restraint. They are not causes. They are symbols. Your natal chart is the guide I return to first. Every interpretation flows from it.

When I read transits, I begin by identifying long-term patterns through outer planet movement. This gives us a sense of the wider arc. From there, I introduce shorter-term or faster-moving transits only if they are meaningfully connected to your natal placements or to your current emotional experience. Not every planetary alignment needs attention. What matters most is how it relates to you.

Resources for Transit Astrology Clients

If you are looking to learn more about transits or track them regularly, I recommend Planets in Transit: Life Cycles for Living by Robert Hand. While some sections are written for experienced astrologers, it also serves as a clear and accessible guide for anyone wanting to understand individual transits with more depth.

I do not recommend algorithm-based apps like Co-Star. These platforms often rely on automated content and marketing tactics rather than careful analysis. They are not a replacement for consultation or study. If you are curious about your own transits, it is always best to speak with an astrologer you trust or to learn from resources that respect the complexity of the work.
